Across Asia, countries face a shared imperative: sustaining economic growth while meeting climate commitments and building resilience. This session will explore how Long-term low-carbon development strategies (LT-LEDS) can ensure these priorities reinforce each other. The session will address three critical questions: 1. What sustainable practices can we adopt to lower GHG emissions in the Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU) sector? 2. How can private and blended finance bridge the gap between committed public grants and mobilised commercial capital for climate projects in India and Southeast Asia? 3. What are the pathways to ensure that AI development is compatible with global climate commitments? The IndiaLEDS Research and Action Platform, a joint initiative by Kalpa Impact and India Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, is a collaborative hub that documents operational low-emission development pathways at national and sub-national levels, bringing together policymakers, researchers, and practitioners to support evidence-based climate action.
