Clean energy deployment is accelerating across South and Southeast Asia, creating new opportunities for economic growth and industrial development. Yet most developing economies remain technology consumers, with limited participation in the manufacturing, innovation, and value chains emerging around the energy transition. This session will explore how countries across Asia and the Global South can move beyond technology adoption to build stronger local capabilities, deepen technology transfer, and create meaningful industrial partnerships. It will bring together manufacturers, investors, policymakers, and ecosystem actors to explore practical pathways for collaboration, from co-development and industrial innovation to localized manufacturing and stronger regional supply chains.
