​Indonesia is accelerating its low-carbon mobility transition, with a target of 90% electrification of mass urban public transport by 2030. However, electric bus deployment and charging infrastructure remain at an early stage, highlighting the need for scalable financing and delivery models. ​Convened by ITDP Indonesia and MSC (MicroSave Consulting), supported by ViriyaENB and ICSC (Institute for Climate and Sustainable Cities), during Bangkok Climate Action Week 2026, this interactive panel will explore how climate finance, private investment, and innovative business models can accelerate sustainable mobility in Indonesia. ​The discussion will focus on three key questions: ​Mobilizing climate finance: How can blended finance, concessional capital, leasing, and PPPs support electric buses and charging infrastructure? ​Scaling implementation: What lessons from Indonesia can help accelerate electric bus deployment and close charging infrastructure gaps? ​Enabling inclusive participation: How can policy and asset-light models attract private investment while creating opportunities for MSMEs, including women-led enterprises? ​The session will bring together policymakers, financiers, development partners, mobility experts, private-sector actors, researchers, and community representatives to identify practical pathways for scaling sustainable mobility across Indonesia and the wider Asia-Pacific region. ​📅 Date: Wednesday, 7 October 2026 🕝 Time: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM, Bangkok time (GMT+7)
