Across Asia, climate change, biodiversity loss and environmental degradation are creating interconnected risks for people, ecosystems and businesses. Yet corporate strategies often address these issues separately, while affected communities remain insufficiently involved in shaping the decisions that influence their rights, livelihoods and environments. This session will bring together communities, businesses, financial institutions, civil society, international organisations and philanthropy to explore how corporate action can move beyond fragmented commitments towards more integrated, rights-centred approaches across operations and value chains. Through community-grounded dialogue and facilitated roundtables, participants will examine whose knowledge informs corporate assessments, where corporate reporting and mitigation plans diverge from lived experience, and how stronger accountability and meaningful stakeholder engagement can lead to better decisions. The session will identify practical opportunities to advance corporate action that respects human rights, protects climate and nature, and strengthens long-term business and community resilience.
