The session draws on the recent work of the CCICED High-Level Task Force on China's Environment and Development Outlook, which brought together Chinese and international experts to review China's environment and development progress, examine medium- and long-term trends, risks and challenges, and put forward policy recommendations for China's environmental and development strategy and its international cooperation. The session will use the Task Force's thematic report "China and the World: Mutual Engagement in Sustainable Development Processes" as an entry point, while drawing on relevant insights from the other CCICED research. This session is aimed at policymakers, civil society organisations, researchers, practitioners and international organisations engaged with aspects of China's green transition and regional cooperation, particularly from China and Southeast Asia, reflecting the discussion-based format we intend for the session.
