Where is green hydrogen heading in Southeast Asia, and where can it deliver the greatest decarbonisation impact? From low-carbon industrial feedstocks and steel production to sustainable aviation, maritime shipping and decentralised energy, the H2Uppp SEA Regional Conference 2026 explores where green hydrogen and Power-to-X can deliver practical decarbonisation across the region. The programme will unpack regional hydrogen policies and market trends, alongside the technologies and applications shaping the market. It will also explore the enabling conditions for commercial deployment, including green finance, PtX bankability, carbon credits and market mechanisms. With perspectives from Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Singapore, the conference offers a regional platform to exchange insights, explore emerging opportunities and identify practical pathways towards a unified, commercially viable and sustainable hydrogen economy across Southeast Asia. The conference is organised by the International Hydrogen Ramp-Up Programme (H2Uppp), implemented by GIZ. H2Uppp supports green hydrogen market development across Southeast Asia through European and local expertise, business networks and public-private cooperation.
