Mandated by UNFCCC decision 11/CMA.7 and convened under the Veredas Dialogue, this preparatory workshop will support the first edition of the Xingu Finance Talks as a space for cooperative exchange on practical solutions for the implementation of Article 2.1(c) of the Paris Agreement and its complementarity with Article 9. Discussions will focus on expanding fiscal space for climate investment and reducing the cost of capital through risk sharing and guarantees, helping to inform the high-level roundtable to be held in the context of the 2026 IMF/World Bank Annual Meetings.
