Bangkok Climate Action Week (BKKCAW) is a regional climate gathering activating the power of people to drive meaningful change.
Introduction
Bangkok Climate Action Week (BKKCAW) provides a platform for citizens, creatives, communities, and institutions to come together in new ways, celebrating local leadership and collective imagination to shape a climate-safe, inclusive future for Southeast Asia.
With rising temperatures, flooding, air pollution, and resource stress affecting millions, Southeast Asia is already living the impacts of climate change. But Bangkok is a city of immense creativity, cultural depth, and community resilience — a place where imagination and collaboration can drive real, lasting change.
BKKCAW taps into this potential, spotlighting Bangkok not only as a city on the climate frontline, but as a powerful driver of transformation across the region.
From artists and activists to youth leaders, entrepreneurs, scientists, and city officials, Bangkok’s people are shaping new pathways toward a climate-safe future.

BKKCAW catalyses whole-of-society action to accelerate the green transition, strengthening public engagement in climate action and policymaking across Southeast Asia.
Harness the unique convening power of Bangkok to demonstrate, inspire, and galvanise local-to-global action towards a climate-safe future. BKKCAW builds a movement rooted in collaboration and public participation, reaching millions and sparking breakthrough initiatives across key sectors.

Our Approach
Our work is guided by four interconnected objectives that shape everything we do.
Empower local actors and citizens to realise their potential as climate agents.
Empower local actors and citizens to realise their potential as climate agents.
Connect local and regional actors, initiatives, and solutions. Foster collaboration, learning, and co-creation of transformative climate solutions between cities across Southeast Asia.
Showcase the “whole-of-society” engagement required to deliver deep decarbonisation and climate resilience.
Advance new climate narratives that are hopeful, empowering, and inclusive, underscoring choice, shared responsibility, and collective agency.
Climate Action Week happens around the world, uniting cities in the fight for our future.

Our Journey
From inception to Southeast Asia’s largest climate gathering.
Climate Action Week (CAW) began in London in 2019, grounded in the belief that tackling the climate crisis requires a whole-of-society approach. Sparked by London Climate Action Week (LCAW), it created an open, inclusive platform bringing together governments, businesses, civil society, creatives, and communities to accelerate decarbonisation and build climate resilience. Rooted in London’s convening power, LCAW mobilised diverse actors across sectors, positioning cities as critical leaders in climate solutions.
Today, the spirit and impact of Climate Action Week have grown into a global movement. Its whole-of-society approach has inspired cities around the world to create their own platforms for collective climate action, including Bangkok.
