Building a Climate-Safe Future Together
Bangkok Climate Action Week (BKKCAW) is a regional climate gathering activating the power of people to drive meaningful change.

What is BKKCAW?
Bangkok Climate Action Week (BKKCAW) provides a platform for citizens, creatives, communities, and institutions to come together in new ways, celebrating local leadership and collective imagination to shape a climate-safe, inclusive future for Southeast Asia.
Why Bangkok?
With rising temperatures, flooding, air pollution, and resource stress affecting millions, Southeast Asia is already living the impacts of climate change. Bangkok epitomizes the region’s creativity, cultural depth and community resilience - it is a place where imagination and collaboration come together to drive real, lasting change.
BKKCAW taps into this potential, spotlighting Bangkok not only as a city on the climate frontline, but as a natural hub and mirror of the diversity that is the strength of the region, and a driver of regional collaboration. From artists and activists to youth leaders, entrepreneurs, scientists, and city officials, Bangkok’s people are shaping new pathways toward a climate-safe future.

Vision
BKKCAW catalyses whole-of-society action to accelerate the green transition, strengthening public engagement in climate action and policymaking across Southeast Asia.

Part of a Global Movement
Climate Action Week happens around the world, uniting cities in the fight for our future.

Our Journey
BKKCAW History
From inception to Southeast Asia’s largest climate gathering.
BKKCAW is part of a growing family of Climate Action Weeks, signalling a new era of civic mobilization driving climate action around the world. Climate Action Week (CAW) began in London in 2019, grounded in the belief that tackling the climate crisis requires a whole-of-society approach. London Climate Action Week (LCAW) created an open, inclusive platform bringing together governments, businesses, civil society, creatives, and communities to accelerate decarbonisation and build climate resilience. Rooted in London’s convening power, LCAW mobilised diverse actors across sectors, positioning cities as critical leaders in climate solutions.
Today, the spirit and impact of Climate Action Week have grown into a global movement. Its whole-of-society approach has inspired cities around the world to create their own platforms for collective climate action, including Bangkok.
