Heritage Food Systems Lunch

A communal long-table lunch built around the heritage Thai ingredients at risk of disappearing from everyday life. Beginning with a guided walk through the garden and ReWaste space, guests move into a short hands-on activity with one heritage ingredient before sitting down together for a shared lunch featuring dishes built entirely around these flavours. The centrepiece is not the food alone but the conversation around it. A facilitated discussion invites guests to reflect on food memory, what we’ve stopped eating and why, and what is lost when a traditional ingredient disappears from our plates. The lunch closes with one question put to the whole table: “What’s one ingredient, dish, or piece of food knowledge you want to make sure isn’t forgotten?” An intimate gathering, designed to be the beginning of something longer. Every guest leaves as part of the Tepa Garden community, connected to an ongoing programme of heritage food workshops, and a growing network of people in Bangkok who believe that what we eat is inseparable from the health of our land, our culture, and our climate.
