About this event

Close to 100 million women work in the informal sector in Southeast Asia, a region heavily impacted by extreme heat. Of those, more than 11 million work in Thailand’s informal sector as street vendors, motorcycle taxi drivers, domestic workers, and home-based producers. Extreme heat does not stay at the workplace. It follows women home, often worsening overnight and compounding health, sleep, and caregiving burdens. We invite you to join HERA and our partners during Bangkok Climate Action Week (BKKCAW) 2026 for an engaging two-part conversation bringing the voices of the women on the frontlines, the science and evidence, and spotlighting the types of solutions being co-created with the women and community organizations.
