Reimagining Food Systems for Climate Action: From Performance to Policy | Subtitle: "Justice Bao and the Trial of a Broken Food Empire" - A Live Chinese Opera Spectacle of Climate, Food, and Justice

About this event

Come witness the opening of the Kaifeng Court — in search of the justice that has vanished from our food system! Featuring Khun Thong and Friends, at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). As heaven and earth fall into turmoil, it's time to sound the drum and open the court to reclaim justice! When our food system runs on money and profit, who is left to bear the consequences? Communities? Animals? Plants? The voiceless and powerless — or, in the end, the whole world? Join us as "witness and jury" for the Thammasat Chinese Opera production, Justice Bao and the Trial of a Broken Food Empire — flip the plate, change the system, tame a warming world. Together, let's ask the essential question: what kind of world are the foods we choose every day creating — for us, and for generations to come? This earth-shaking case doesn't affect humans alone! So this time, Khun Thong and Friends won't sit idle either — they're standing with everyone in the pursuit of justice! From the opera stage to the policy stage — a deep dive into the food crisis hidden behind our warming world, with space for everyone to join workshops, propose solutions, and raise their voice as citizens of the world, to help reclaim justice for the environment, animals, communities, and our fellow earthlings. Will we let the food system carry on as it is — or will we change it together? One bite of food can change a fate. The verdict is in all our hands! Special: limited gifts await every witness who joins the pursuit of justice.
