This event brings together governments, policymakers, and advocates from South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific to advance towards a just transition away from fossil fuels. Set against the backdrop of escalating climate impacts and the growing momentum for the need of dedicated international processes on the just transition away from fossil fuels, the event is designed to connect regional realities with global ambition. The event marks a significant moment in the Asia-Pacific engagement, sharing insights on different countryโs just energy transition roadmap, and building cross-regional solidarity ahead of critical global milestones including COP 31 and the Second Conference on Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuels in Tuvalu in 2027. Through research sharing, dialogue, and collective action, Governments from across Asia event demonstrate that the political and social conditions for a fossil fuel phase-out are being built from the ground up across the region, and through international cooperation.
