About this event

Finance is the key lever for accelerating the green transition and realizing the vision of a better economy. Our desired futures will remain beyond reach as long as finance works against sustainability, deepens fossil fuel dependency, and fuels inequality and environmental devastation. Shifting investment into green infrastructure and solutions is one part of it. Another is rewiring finance to align with development and climate protection goals. In sum: financing the shift is the outcome; shifting finance is the how. This session considers the respective roles of public, private and philanthropic finance; aligning financial regulation with wellbeing goals; SMEs, and the economic opportunity in harmonizing green finance rules & standards across the region.
