Join us for a free screening of selected, award-winning short documentaries on how people and communities adapt to extreme heat and safeguard health. The evening will be opened by Dr Ailan Li, WHO Representative to Thailand, as well as Ms Mathilde Teruya, Deputy Head of Mission of the French Embassy of Thailand. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with experts on heat, health and climate, and all participants are invited to a reception following the discussion. As temperatures rise and heat records are broken across the world, it is the most vulnerable communities who feel the impacts first and hardest. Short films help raise awareness and share solutions between people and communities around the planet, encouraging the behavioural change and decisions needed to keep people safe and cool. Join us at Alliance Française for this free screening, brought to you by the Global Heat Forum, the #Film4Health Global Movement and Bangkok Climate Action Week, together with Alliance Française, the French Embassy in Thailand, the Global Heat Health Information Network, the World Health Organization and Wellcome. Films run approximately 45 minutes, in English with English subtitles. The Q&A will be held in English.
